Firefighter Frank Connell

Firefighter Connell was stretching a fire hose across the street towards a burning building when he was struck by a motor vehicle. Firefighter Connell was transported to St. John's Hospital where he died a short time later.

The driver of the motor vehicle disregarded warnings to stop and drove over other hose lines that were laid. He was arrested and found to be intoxicated at the hospital.
