Incident

Firefighter Born died after the fire engine that he was driving overturned while responding to a false alarm. He was transported to City Hospital where he died a short time later. Four other firefighters were injured in the accident. The pull box they were responding to had frequent false alarms pulled the past two weeks.

My grandfather and family received little recognition or support in that at the time he was not considered to have died in the line of duty. Not one visit after the funeral. Shameful. Thank god for the organizations that support our Hero’s injured or killed in the line of duty today.
