Incident

Firefighter Loncar of Pumper #28 died while manning a hose line and fighting a fire in a drug store at Sixty Ninth Street and Prospect Avenue. An explosion occurred causing a wall to fall on him. The incident also took the lives of Firefighters Roy Rutherford and John Morris.
