While responding to a two-alarm fire at the Harlem Hotel, Division Chief Dunsford’s car collided with Engine 5 at the intersection of 22nd and North Market Streets. Engine 5 was responding to the same alarm. Chief Dunsford died at Isolation Hospital approximately three weeks later.
