Firefighter John M. Casey

While responding to a reported fire at Washington and Euclid Avenues, the fire department vehicle that Firefighter Casey was in collided with a street car. He was trapped under one of the cars for some time before he could be freed. He was transported to City Hospital but did not survive his injuries. Firefighter Casey was a member of Salvage Corps #3. His father, also named John, was a member of Salvage Corps. #1.
