While working at a fire in a warehouse at the American Manufacturing Company at 1021 South Tenth Street, Firefighter Egenriether fell from a pile of Istle that was being used to make bags. Firefighter Egenriether, along with Firefighter Joseph Wittgenstein died from injuries sustained in the fall.
