Incident
On Thursday October 27, 1955 Trooper Wayne W. Allman was killed in an automobile accident on MO-35 in Cass County.
He was responding to another accident when an oncoming truck turned left in front of him. Trooper Allman swerved to avoid hitting the truck then swerved back. As he swerved back his patrol car clipped a second oncoming vehicle. Trooper Allman's vehicle overturned, and he was ejected from his vehicle.
Trooper Wayne W. Allman, 34, became the seventh member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol killed in the line of duty.
