His mother, Thelma, four sisters and four brothers
Lieutenant Travis was shoveling snow at the Detention Center near the end of his shift at midnight. Significant snow had fallen that day, and he was clearing the walkway for oncoming and offgoing personnel from the Detention Center door to the parking lot. He also cleared snow from around his and another employee's vehicle. Having a large four-wheel drive vehicle, he then offered to transport three other deputy jailers home.
A short time later, as Lieutenant Travis passed back by the Detention Center, he stopped and complained of chest pain, refused medical attention, and continued home. He was later found deceased at home of an apparent heart attack, still in uniform.
There are 26 tributes for Lieutenant Clifford Scott Travis.
I will keep the Travis family in my prayers. Thank you sir. Rest in peace.
