Incident
Patrolman Collins made an arrest at Seventh Street Road and Tennessee Avenue. As he was stepping into his patrol car to take the prisoner to headquarters, he was struck by a passing automobile. The incident occurred just after midnight Sunday night.
He was transported to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Hospital where he died of his injuries on Tuesday.
