Incident
Air Evac 109 and crew were returning from a patient transport. As they approached their base, the aircraft crashed into a school parking lot approximately 200 yards from the helipad. All crewmembers were killed.
EMS Pilot Sizemore retired as the Chief Deputy of the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office in London, Kentucky. He was also a Viet Nam veteran who was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
