Incident
First Sergeant Karl Kelley died from injuries sustained the day before during a training accident.
A boat containing two other conservation officers overturned in turbulent water and First Sergeant Kelley and another officer attempted a rescue. First Sergeant Kelley's boat capsized as well. He was rescued after being submerged for fifteen minutes.
He survived for 24 hours before succumbing to his injuries.
