Incident

Deputy Constable Warrix was shot and killed as he and the Allen Town Marshal investigated a car accident.

The two officers had taken two of the car's occupants to jail when they were informed that there was a third suspect still at large. They returned to the scene to look for the suspect.

As Deputy Warrix searched a nearby yard, he was struck once in the head with a .22 caliber rifle.

The suspect was convicted of Deputy Warrix's murder and sentenced to life in prison.
